school has started.

I've been on a few random outings this holiday and there are pictures(!) which no one seems to be putting up. =/

Anyway, on nyco concert day, ger and I met up for lunch so I could settle my korean food craving! It ended up being quite different from what we had in Melb, and quite confusing to order. The menu consisted of less than 8 pages? And we struggled to catch the attention of waiters passing by until the customer flow was slightly less congested. We settled on the korean bbq and it came with tofu soup and saba fish because it was on lunch time offer! ^^

Even before the tofu soup and saba fish came, we were given two pitchers of drink, cold water and some tea thing. Oh and a little pill-like object (each) in a shell shaped plate marked with the word 'coin'. <- We were wondering what this was, and among the possibilities were something edible, after lunch mints and I can't remember what else. After we ordered, within like the next 5 minutes, the side dishes came. There should be an entire ceremony dedicated to the arrival of the side dishes la! And I finally understand why there weren't any small tables there, even for 2 customers...

The vege platter on the right was used to wrap the meat and rice. ^^ We had kimchi, some cold tofu, sesame+sauce spinach(?), western salad thing, potato fritters (I think), ikan bilis and probably more things I can't remember at this point of time. Anyway I liked the spicy stuff better, which suited ger quite well cos she doesn't take well to things like that.

Tada! Happy but not quite that hungry people. We had er 3 individual dishes The raw meat that we got for the bbq, one plate of chicken one of pork and a mushroom on top of them which we didn't eat in the end.. (The 熟ness of the mushroom was dubious and I was never much of a mushroom eating person anyway.)

Yummy slices of meat sizzling on the hot pan.. The beef looked SOOO tempting but the price was sadly not as alluring. =/ Oh, the staff will cook the meat for you and cut it up into bite size pieces so it's much easier to eat, not as barbaric and less taxing on our (lack of) culinary skills.

After we were done eating.. We counted I think 13 plates per person, including the things we shared. =S And we're proud to say that at least 9 plates were emptied completely. X) It's safe to say we both skipped dinner after that very very full meal. Oh, and in the end the pill shaped things became wet towels! Well, after you hydrated them with water that is. ^^ It was so cute when it expanded and poof! It became a towel!

On random outing number 2, my aunt passed me a hotel room key for a room that still was valid for one more night and cg and I had a sleepover there!

There was a little problem with the card key, but they gave us another room, so we had 2 single beds, 2 solid, squishy pillows each, a nice chair to lounge on, tv with some cable channels, air con!! Paomian for supper and Baileys!

My room mate for the night. X)

Cg's better at zi pai-ing.

Big cup of tea! Really felt like a holiday in Singapore, don't even stay in hotels when I go overseas usually.. So nice to feel pampered.

Breakfast! Much more value for money than certain fastfood outlet breakfasts I must say. And at cheaper the price too if I'm not wrong.

We got free Sunday papers too and I'm so not used to taking pictures in the lift, usually my own face is covered so this is not that bad already. XP
