Monday, August 18, 2008I like rainy days for the cool weather and general reason that I feel much better snuggling under my oh-so-soft-and-squishy-blanket. Actually it also provides quite a legitimate reason (to self) to stay in bed and prolong snuggling and delay getting up, out (of bed) and down (the bed). But it has become quite a cause for concern when on rainy days, these little brown bodied winged insects seem to like hiding in hdb flats to seek shelter. I mean that's great and all, lots of space for you (away from me). But they invade my private space (hey! that's my leg you're on -burns it to death with an evil glare-), and worse! They've started an invasion on my laptop! I mean seriously, walk away from the keyboard, towards the light might be good, anything but into the keyboard and under the keys. I don't intend to collect insect corpses in there, so I try not to type in that general area when an insect has somehow made it's way there, instead, I wait for it to crawl out then gently persuade it to go in another direction away from my laptop. I'm quite alright with them crawling in the heat dissipater bit, but the thought of squishing insect bodies whenever I type is mildly disturbing (though many others will tell you I'm usually way more disturbing than that). And after one experience of vacuuming my keyboard and accidentally sucking one key up (which I later retrieved and stuck it back) I have no wish to be greeted by strange skeletons the next time that happens (accidentally) again. =/ |
