After having grown out of the stage where my mum nags and scolds me about things I stuff in my bag/don't take out of my bag, I now have to contend with my not so subtle neighbour telling that to her kids.

"为什么你you always讲不听?"
"You understand or not? You understand English or not?"
"SEE! SO many ERASERS!" (I swear you can hear the caps)
"AIYOH! ONE person use SO MANY pencils!"
"DON'T bring so many pencils to school LA!"
"Still ask me where to put, MY HOUSE VERY BIG!"
and "You always say you want your own life right? Then don't live with us la, go and live with yourself."

Which I think is just really tough on a kid who brings too many things in his/her pencil box. It's always good to have spare stationery (despite neighbour mummy dearest saying that even when she went to work she only had one of everything). What if you need a contract signed and your pen ran out of ink? Or what if your kid had to do 听力测验 and had no pencil and the whole class adopted the one item of stationery per person mentality?? And it's the first time I really hear people speak in that mixed english chinese way that I find foreign in 小孩不笨 films. Anyway it's not really good telling your kid to move out because kids nowadays (and maybe last time too) think too much and they really might do that-> aka get lost and then you'd be in trouble. Plus, they might mistreat you when you get old...
