Wednesday, March 28, 2007XD I went for my first practical driving lesson today and my instructor's nice. =) Actually I think most/all instructors are nice and it's mostly the testers who are more strict.. Maybe time will prove me wrong but in the meantime.. Anyway for the first time in all my 18+ years of life thus far, I sat in the driver's seat and drove a car! X) Though I was hardly travelling above 20km per hour, jerking the brake quite often and making scary noises with the engine when I pressed down too hard... It was fun! XD Went round and round the circuit, actually I didn't technically enter the circuit, just go round and round, turning and stuff. Need to figure out the clutch, gears and brake thing though.. When you're in the car you're not supposed to be staring at the meters or gear stick/handle thingy(?) figuring out if you're pressing the accelerator too hard or trying to push the gear numbers correctly. Sort of forgot to check the rearview mirror too, think the instructor was quite amused when he reminded me about the mirror and I looked !ed to see a car behind me.. X) Second lesson on Friday, looking forward to it! =D |
