Monday, January 22, 2007After working a week at the childcare centre and getting numerous pimples(!) on my face, I've come to realise a few things.. It's not worth getting angry with kids because they basically don't care and all you're doing is getting yourself stressed and worked up. You're not their real school teacher or their parent, and basically all you can do is try to do things to the best of your ability. Sometimes it's just easier to slacken then both you and the child can be happy. To a child, shouting is the only form of communication. There is always an excuse not to do work, be it a sudden dying itch at the ankle, sudden fatigue... Shouting doesn't get you very far with them and all you're doing is hurting your throat. I hope tomorrow will be a better day. I need it to be a better day. =( |
