Wednesday, July 12, 2006Oops, I was feeling quite weird today, was doing random hyper things during break and all.. (sorry cheeyun!) I must thank my darling and kai ling! Heh, 真心话，大冒险！X) I would probably not have survived those two hours without both of you to 陪我 or 自high with me. Anyway besides that, I finally got to watch Superman over the weekend! The plot wasn't very exciting, but I liked the twist involving the child. =) I felt that the part where Superman was pummelled by the antagonists was quite painful to watch though. Somehow superheroes aren't meant to be defeated. They may fall, but they should somehow struggle and come back better than ever (beat the bad guys up, save the world and get the girl etc). That's what movies are for aren't they? Allowing you to indulge in fantasies and an ideal universe that you don't belong to. Once the credits start you roll, you find that alternate universe slipping away as you plummet back into reality.. But sometimes reality isn't all that bad, not with people like you around. Still not quite used to school yet, but I bet I'll be reciting the timetable soon enough. Feel like going on a shopping spree too, after I pack my cupboard that is. =) In other bits of disjointed randomness, I went to the library that day! Sat down for a few hours just to read books. Terry Prachett is nice! (or rather the Discworld series is) But anyway it's a very good feeling to be able to choose what books to read and walk away from it remembering nothing at all but the delightful experience. (As compared to burying your head in pages of black and white notes and expecting to come up with most of it in your head.) 3 more books left to finish, though I was supposed to stop being a bookworm already. I'm devouring books with less speed than before.. )= I need practice! Well, and time too of course. Which I'm not supposed to be able to afford right now. =X |
