Hmm, I guess you could say I indulged today. Spent er future money? ie My salary which has not come in.. Celebrated my dad's birthday at a nice Jap restaurant at King's Arcade.. Ala carte buffet, nice food, really good service. =) After that I went to watch the exorcism of emily rose, which is quite a nice show. Not horror, but I jumped at a few parts, as is typical for me I guess. The cinematics are not bad, and the parts where emily seems to be posessed are tense and stressful.. Don't like the parts where it keeps zooming onto her face either, disturbing really. And after emily, I (finally) bought 知足! And got jaychou 十一月的萧邦 too! =) Lotsa nice cds and stuff to listen to, and books! Anyway, I guess if I would start wondering about the spirit realm and all this stuff if I was religious, but since I'm not, stuff I learned from watching the movie include, don't stay up till 3 am. It's supposedly the witching hour or something. Being a lawyer is really a test of your faith, character and how firmly you draw the line between what's personal and what's professional. Especially if the person you helped acquit goes on a killing rampage some other day. Weighs a lot on your conscience and all. I think it would be pretty hard for anyone to defend someone or something they don't believe in.
