Sunday, August 07, 2005=D This entry shall be filled with a relatively large number of smiley faces, because I had a great day yesterday, that ended with a great night, despite the inclusion of a few guys (who cannot be counted as guys). But anyway, yan gui zheng zhuan. I apparently slept at 2/3am the morning itself, although I thought I remembered it as only being 1 plus... Obviously, I slept in front of the computer again, and with my fondness for not turning up my speakers, nudges were ignored, as were the frequent beepings and blinkings of msn conversations. Despite that, I managed to wake up at 9am for math, whereby I nearly slept through my tuition and once again reaffirmed the fact that my integration = CMI. Then I rushed X3 to school, with my dad sending me, because I thought I would be late! But turns out I was early, and helped lend a hand/shoulder to a few lep people who seemed quite stressed. Don't worry people, you guys did a great job! =) Anyway I did odd jobs, like get people to sign the guestbook, arrange plates, hide bags in inconspicuous corners etc. And the food wasn't too bad, plus we met lots of nice seniors! Ame and I saw a daoju senior, whom didn't seem familiar at all, but went around wearing a daoju tee and had quite a pro looking camera with him. Anyway the three of us took photos together, daoju and all, then realised we didn't know his name! Ok, till now I still don't, but I highly doubt he does either, so it's che ping le. =) Plus cai ying came!! OMG, she's so pretty in real life lohz, and I bet she was really nice too. The celebrations itself was quite fun, and the skit was very lame too, but good that the syllabus wasn't changed or else only we would get the jokes? Oh yar, plus we sang yu te de ge, and the seniors dedicated a kapo song to yu laoshi, and he made a very moving speech... -dabs at tears- So sweet lahz, we all love yu laoshi!!! =D But after that came the nasty part, where I started disliking a certain person for not doing work. LEP borrowed movable stages from the council and we were supposed to move it back to the hall, so being severely deficient in people, we decided to get the guys to help move it back as best they could, being supposedly stronger and such. But a certain person somehow didn't help and walked around being very....useless? Never mind, although I did sustain quite some painful(!) bruises on both arms because of the stage, and I got irritated with him again, when we were moving the caterer's stuff down stairs. Would it seriously have killed him to move to wicker baskets full of tissue paper and odds and ends down? Was it that heavy to cause him to break a nail or something? I mean truthfully, what kind of guy are you? Ok wait, maybe you're a non-guy, but that doesn't give you an excuse! The girls were moving a lot of other bulky stuff around too! Hmph. Bah humbug, anyway after that we moved the drinks down, then doreen and shell started passing down the cups, plates and cutlery via the throw down and catch method. Quite entertaining, especially since beng beng said it looked like doreen was pao-ing xiu qiu... Then later wanglaoshi also joined in the fun by doing the same with the trash bags. When he came down later, he told us to put the rubbish in the car so that he could drive it to the bin at the gate...And liuzhen and ningfei went into the car as well, evidently being... Then muppet brought up a good point which sent many of us rolling over in laughter... If the things in the car were rubbish, what does that make the driver? XD Then after clearing up the smaller things like trash and stuff, muppet, shell, georgia and I were planning to go and watch wuyuetian! But muppet abandoned us at the bus stop for her beloved YouMiao, leaving shell, georgia and I. Thinking that it was at the esplanade, we took a bus down and walked all the way there only to discover that it wasn't! Then we took a train to marina and took the bus to the waterfront where we saw lots and lots of pretty fireworks!!!! -hypers- =D It was really really cool, and I hadn't seen fireworks up close since...primary 5? Haha it was really really nice lahz, and I guess I was kind of smiling after that continuously, because the crowds and walking around was worth it! The view was great, and the fireworks were just breathtaking! I want to go watch again! And I shall. =) Anyway we were trying to squeeze inside the place so we could watch the concert, and 'cos the ground was all squishy and stuff, they lined it with tarp? and plastic sheets so we could walk over it. And there was this very nice auntie at the stands, whom helped pull everyone over such that we didn't land and sink into the icky mud! Which shows that some people still are very considerate after all. =) When we finally made it inside, it didn't seem as crowded as it was just now, and unfortunately as we feared, wu yue tian was to be the last performers! =( So we didn't stay till the end, but left then zi ran juan finished. But okay lahz, they were cute, and the experience is something I will remember for a long while. The company was great, plus the organisation of the entire affair was quite admirable, especially since all of us were expecting some kind of chaotic situation we normally get at Marina, i.e. shortage of buses with people cramming in like sardines, jaywalking across roads and pushing and shoving to get where they want to. Overall it was a really really good day, maybe because of the good ending, but I ended up horribly tired after that, and was supported by random poles at the bus stop and mrt. Although they are supposed to be kind of dirty and all, but I was tired! Cannot help it wad... XP Plus the other alternative was kind of oily... =) Went home to bathe and immediately konked out on my bed. Mm, sleep! =) Happyhappyhappy! Haha. =D |
