We had class bbq yesterday, the last activity we'll probably have as the original 73. Like all bbqs, we sat and talked and ate and played and talked some more.

The guys managed to play soccer with an entire bunch of little kids, and it was amusing to watch them try to take the ball from the kids without endangering them in the process. The girls on the other hand settled for bridge, daidee, sparklers and candles. Oh, before we started the fire, there was an annoying, kaypoh, old and overweight uncle that decided he would burden himself with the responsibility of ensuring that our bbq was carried out successfully. As such, he took it upon himself to offer his fire starting services in return for chicken wings (2 to be exact) as well as his kind, friendly and very useful advice on cooking. Not only that, he even proved himself capable of flying a kite, our kite to be exact. The nerve of some people... Really!

I guess my favourite part was at night, when we all sat down to talk and play truth or dare. It wasn't exactly very informative, since no one was very willing to spill a lot of personal details about themselves, but it was just nice to sit there as a class and talk.

At night, the remaining few talked even more about things ranging from education policies to grading systems of guys and girls. =) Quite entertaining, and very deep too... Too much brain power required and I soon felt sleepy after a while. Then of course, by the beach, it was very very cold, so I was once again freezing!

We managed to catch the sunrise, or rather the changing of the colour of the sky at sunrise, (which is still very pretty) in the morning, before running off to the playground to xun zhao wo men de tong nian.

Swings are delightful, and it's a pity that there aren't more of them around. The feeling you get when your feet lift off from the ground is exhilarating, and it feels like all your troubles have left you. The only thing you're concentrating on is how to get higher. =)

We played with this revolving disc after that, which was quite fun too, especially since nf was nice enough to volunteer to help spin us around. And afterwhich we climbed the webbed structure, and I manage to successfully reach the top. Perhaps it was because of the time, so no noisy little kids that jump about or shake the rope, making it wobbly and unstable. In fact I found the thickness of the ropes quite comforting, in that they made me feel secure, as long as I didn't let go. But even if I did fall down, there were levels and levels of ropes below me to break my fall, although I don't think I'd like to try it any time soon.

Trotted off to macs at white sands later before heading to Newton with muppet, jk and nf to play pool. Speaking of which, I started learning just 2/3 days before and I utterly suck at it. But never mind, it's still quite fun so I shall play more often!

Which reminds me, the past few days I've been travelling around Singapore quite a lot, and my MRT journey looks something like this:

Friday:
From Jurong East to Ang Mo Kio (to meet the daoju people for lunch and pool)
From Ang Mo Kio to Pasir Ris (to meet the class for bbq)

Saturday:
From Pasir Ris to Newton (to play pool)
From Newton to Jurong (but by bus this time)
From Jurong to Bishan (to meet daoju people for dinner)

Anyway, my first experience playing pool was with the daoju people on Friday, and it was quite fun once I started. Before that we were sianned and stoning by the sides, trying to avoid getting mauled by any random stick or ball. Lt was very funny! Her white ball kept jumping, be it of the table or jumping onto the ledge and rolling for a while before dropping onto the floor. It was just very amusing having an entire table of novices, whilst the other table had pro people... For each game we played, they finished about 2 or 3? XD The original aim of the outing was to go aj ice, but being a public holiday (I guess) it was closed again...

The next day's pool was better, since I finally figured out what I was doing wrong. =) Even managed to win one game against xueying. Haha, must thank her for pei-ing me at the novice table. =)

For the daoju dinner, the most memorable thing that happened was probably the neoprints session? It was so amusing, especially since it was my first time, then they kept rushing rachel by telling her how many seconds there were left to decorate. Then the guys took cards too! And they looked very funny inside, the one with the moon as a background was the best... It looked so... Poetic! XD I'm just very amused by how they pose and act cute... =)

I have been continually occupied and happy the past few days, but what I miss most would be my sleep. Oh well, after finishing my tutorials today, I will sleep early. =)
