Monday, January 10, 2005Sian, first day of lectures and we had two diagnostic tests. The lectures were quite dull, since everything is just an introduction to the syllabus and all. But our biology department head is very strict, managed to condemn one person in the first lecture, and make two other guys write lines(words). It's probably to prove a point, that she means it and all, but the poor sacrificial lambs quite ke lian. The diagnostic test was rubbish, since I could barely remember my facts, and some of the stuff I've never seen before in my entire life. So essentially my test was answered the old way, eeny meeny miny mo. And we had so little time to do the chemistry diagnostic test, but then I realised how much I relied on my lovely calculator, and decided that I should bring it tomorrow onwards. But before that we were playing captain's ball in the ct with a mouldy ball from don't know where. The guys are damn tall lahz, especially weiquan. You jump up in an attempt to catch the ball, then end up it sails nicely into his hands, and he doesn't even need to do anything besides stand... A little way into the game they decided to split guys vs girls, which is quite dumb since there are only 5 guys, and with one on the chair, it makes 4 left to run around the court. Oh well, rather interesting game, that was quite bonding? I mean compared to the other games we played during orientation, where I obtained lots of blue blacks and sandfly bites from. Oh yes, there's lep orientation on Saturday and there's supposedly going to be a lot of water. =) I'm quite happy with water, as long as no starch or mud or weird sauces are involved. Plain water is fine and dandy. =D Went to crash practice after school today, and ended up practising with the orchestra, which is bloody weird, since I barely saw the pu an hour before dazu. And I sort of just picked up dadi, which also feels weird on my fingers, such that I have to keep adjusting because I'm not used to it. Felt kind of bad too, since sq and rw learnt the song before in sec 1, and there I was being all weird about paizi and stuff. Doesn't do anything for my self confidence either, when I lian chang yin on chang di and it sounds -very- short. =( But from crashing practice a short while, it became joining the co for the entire practice till 7, where cg and I tagged along with the rest of the seniors for dinner at KAP. Reached home at about 9 plus, and got questioned by my mum about my whereabouts, plus my dad was subtly telling me not to spend too much time on co instead of my studies. Whatever. XP I'm feeling kind of sleepy and kind of annoyed right now, so I shall sleep. =) |
