Whee! Last day of competition! No more waking up early in the morning to go to tanjong pagar to wait for ppl and stuff. Anyway I managed to drag cheegake and junhua with me early in the morning to watch combined, and the suona guy was chao pro! My ears were ringing during the competition, and the sheng people rocked too! Should have made the sheng suo juniors come to experience such proness and get them to fa fen tu qiang.

Then the dizi open was screwed... Although baishezhuan is a very nice song, but the results were screwed! Okay, so andy and zhi-xuan's dimo's weren't as liang as jiajia's, and zhi-xuan's pianist was dead. No movement, no feeling, and he kind of messed up the song, since he dragged zhi-xuan when he was trying to go faster, and it felt like the piano was dictating the song, when it's DIZI open, and dizi should have been leading! =( And overall andy and mingyan pei he-d the best, since they didn't really tuo jie (if they did at all) as obviously as the other two. And jiajia had this part in the middle where it looked like she had not enough qi, her dimo was too song and couldn't reach the high notes and sounded as if it was about to po! But thankfully for her the part ended le, so she changed back to her other dizi... Still, how could jiajia have gotten second and zhi-xuan and andy combined third? Doesn't make sense to me. In fact, nearly all the dizi nac comp rankings don't make sense to me. I think I'm weird(biased/prejudiced) but it's really quite puzzling actually. Makes you wonder what the judges comments were, or what affected their judgement (especially since they took ages to finally get the results out).

The ensemble one was much proer, since ALL the groups sounded much much much better than prelims. And ding xiao yan's ruan ensemble was PRO! Their jian qiang jian ruo, the coordination, the aesthetics etc. I never knew tan bo could sound so good! (no offence) And teng's feng nian ji was also very very nice, since everyone was just staring and gaping cos it sounded so good. But yin shi was erm a bit more sian ba.. Haha, not really receptive to new songs unless I've heard them over and over again. Then it subconciously gets into my head and I have not much say le... And qiu yu sounds nicer than erm chao xiang xing... Or maybe I just haven't caught the niceness of it yet. And I have free tickets to prize winners' concert! Or rather ger had, then I koped, and cg koped, so no more le.

And I finally bought my OP bag today, so cheegake and I now have the same bag, and alice's present, and cheegake's present(some cute panda badge which says CHEEEESSEEEEEEE). XD Feel like an impossible spendthrift these few days, shall attempt to save and save the next week or so.
