Friday, December 10, 2004Lessons learnt from NAC: 1) Dimo is (very very very) important. 2) Yinzhun is (also very) important. 3) Yinse is important and 1) is one of the few essential causes. 4) Coordination is also important. (between piano and player, different bits of the orchestra etc..) Managed to mess up the recording for ger with a erm foreign recording device that was entirely uncooperative. It turned itself on and off, and ate a recording or two, which is why I don't ever want to see it again, except I will. On Monday. Where I'm supposed to help ger again with dizi open, bai she zhuan. So cross your fingers! (ger anyway, and help me upload my photos...) In any case, I went to the library today, and managed to borrow erm books! =) Since I haven't exactly been intellectual or studiously preparing for next year, I might as well catch up in my reading. I was actually planning to borrow hong lou meng to read in case I did make it for lep next year, but I couldn't find the book (couldn't figure out the system + couldn't find it anyway) so I borrowed this thick erm triology(?) by Douglas Adams consisting of The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy; The Restaurant at the End of the Universe; Life, the Universe and Everything; So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish; Mostly Harmless. Looks interesting/thick enough to keep me occupied for a while. And I borrowed a chinese book by yi shu, when I realised nearly all her books were all romance related, I picked the only one without the heart sticker (which identifies romance novels). And two other english books titled The Lovely Bones and erm Farm Fatale. =) Happy book borrowing day, and since I managed to not watch Incredibles for the third time, very happy indeed. Oh yes, my sibling + 2 cousins went to BK for lunch (again, since I had BK for dinner last night with enoch, jh, caina and cg) and they were of course fascinated with the blue sprite, so they opened a packet, stuffed it inside the sprite and stirred. Effervescence is observed and a colourless odourless gas is evolved that dunno did what, but was probably carbon dioxide anyway. And the solution turned from colourless to blue. And it tastes the same, so essentially all you get is coloured sprite, that overflows and wets the table, thus costing you all the serviettes that they provide. Not worth it. Anyway I should be going for NAC on Sat, Sun and Mon, then after that will pop by for CO camp, and get my posting results. -cross fingers- =) |
