Sunday, December 19, 2004I slept for erm close to 5 hours this morning, since I was dragged up by my parents to walk and have breakfast. Being extremely sleepy, I came back home and slept till about 2pm, before waking up and eating lunch and running off to the library. On the way there, I saw this cute little girl, who strayed off the path and ran across to the big grass patch, screaming "Ahhh..." Then when she saw the look on her mum's face, she detoured and decided to chase after her sister instead. Her mother started calling after her, "Xiao bu dian..." Then the little girl repeated after her mother, calling her older sister "Xiao bu dian" too. Okay nvm, the point is that she was just very cute. And... I finally managed to borrow hong lou meng! Plus I sort of better figured out my way around Jurong Regional Library. Oh yes, the book pian ren.. It says hong lou meng (shang), which I automatically assume to mean shang ji, but it has all 120 chapters! Which kind of doesn't make sense... But never mind, I only have to read the first 40 anyway. And I borrowed more books! Oryx and Crake by Magaret Atwood and The Truth, by Terry Pratchett. Meaning that I should be successfully occupied till the end of the holidays. =) Tomorrow's CO chalet! Although I'm lugging the stupidly heavy mahjong set there(no thanks to cheegake) I still can't wait. Plus I actually managed to squeeze all my stuff into one okay sized bag. =) |
