Out of the past 6 posts I have on this blog, 5 of them start with Okay... Bad vocab, -smack smack- bad bad vocab. For the past three days, I've been out from about 8am every morning till at least about 5 or 6 in the evening, which is quite tiring. Shall do a chronological recount of events before I forget everything and details start to elude me.

Went back to NY today, for Open House and to claim back my g and d diao dizis. Met ger early in the morning at 0830, where she was recounting her own chain of events which caused her to be slightly late. (Forgot di dai, went back to take; forgot camera, went back to take; forgot cd...) And we had hashbrowns, because I was hungry and wanted breakfast, since I only had a cup of the cold herbal nim jiong pei pa gao ge gen tang (soup) thing before that. The tang is seriously icky, and leaves a funny taste at the back of your throat, and is not a tang! At first I thought it was really soup sorts, so I drank without holding my breath, and grimaced/made a face and drank lots of water and ate sweets (a spoon full of sugar makes the medicine go down...)

When we finally reached NY, we abused the lift, or rather we abused the open house occasion and used the lift (which as all NY girls know, you aren't supposed to do) and deposited our stuff in the CO room. Saw many unfamiliar people and familiar ones too, like juniors etc. Followed them down to watch performance with another teacher conducting, and it was quite amusing. Dizi yinse was a bit meng-ish and weird, especially the bangdis? Oh well, at least zhong nv tuo pai zi, and the string of yins at the erhu melody part came out quite well. Oh yes, on the way down, eugene called ger, so I koped her phone and said, "I've kidnapped ger and am holding her ransom...etc"

But apparently, certain people have SELECTIVE hearing, that very obviously chooses what they want to hear, because at the other end of the phone, what eugene heard was, "I've kidnapped ger and I think you're handsome." -coughGAGcoughPUKEcoughCHOKE- with an extra large DOINK with a capital D. (you know like Idiot with a capital E? <- nevermind, doesn't make much sense to me either.)

Now what does that say about eugene?

And back to open house, ger, xiwen, my classmate and I went to hc to hand up forms, and as was recounted earlier, I forgot to bring original copies of my birth cert and IC, so I had to take a trip down the next day. Was quite annoyed at that time, but at least still had one more day. We went for lunch, then back to NY for xiaozu. Very fun! I haven't lianned in a long long long time... Miss lianning actually, all the lian xi qus and chang yins and stuff. Plus I just remembered I forgot to give junhua back her ciyushouces... We got a new song to play with, a si chong zou, from this book of operas that laoshi bought from China. And does anyone remember a song from Carmen being used for a soap/dishwashing liquid/floor cleaner advertisement? I seem to remember it as that... And I cannot read dou ya pu... Or wu xian pu as it's called. =( But give me a note/number then I can start counting lines, since the last time I actually could read it was in primary school with the recorder and stuff.

Apparently dizi is going to get a new girl... Nothing much to say about it, though I think it's a bit late to join and next year syf probably will not have a place for her.

Woke up early and went with my classmate to HC again to hand in LEP form, and we were both gloating when they approved all our forms and we could finally hand it in, whilst the other poor people there were short of original copies and their certs and stuff couldn't be certified. I think the GO people gave them till 9 the next day, before they sent the forms over to MOE or something. My friend and I were trying our best NOT to laugh and gloat so openly, but really it feels quite shuang. So thankfully we were guai enough to come one day before, since we both agreed that if it happened to us on the second day, we wouldn't be willing to travel back and forth again and would just hand up the form and certificates without it being certified.

Then went to meet junhua at Orchard, where we went to lido to watch Polar Express, and I must protest, Lido cinemas are freezing cold. And it didn't help, that all the credits were being shown with added winter effects, and the opening scene was one of falling snow... -freezes- And now I shall erm reveal junhua's preference for the shorter straw... Because the shorter straw can drink more wad Now we know. =) The movie was quite cute, storyline was typical, and they had lots of things that junhua wanted, including hot chocolate, long twisting slides, an elf MRT transport capsule system thing etc.

After we got out of the cinema, we found tc and they traipsed down to kfc to visit eunice who was working there. The both of them, being very pro, were trying to walk with their back facing the corner, and hiding behind the cashier and promotion boards so that eunice wouldn't see them, which she did eventually, so it didn't really matter. Then we walked and walked and walked around the place, and stole/guang ming zheng da de took many many postcards.

Saturday! Watched Mamma Mia in the afternoon, and it's quite a cute show, a bit complicated, and the main guy looked a bit awkward singing, but it was quite okay. The conductor also very cute, since he was at some parts, a part of the cast and performance. I liked the main character's mother's friends the most, very amusing with their shiny abba get up, inclusive of jewel encrusted belts and very very high platforms.

Met alice for dinner after that, then we proceeded to the Night Safari with free tickets + tram ride, which originally would have cost $24.00. The animals were seriously close to the tram, and the only thing that stood between the (many varieties of) deer and bison/cows/bulls/buffalows was half a log on the ground. And I seriously never imagined a tapir to be so large! I was expecting a small cute thing about the size of a small pig or something, but when the tram came up next to it, I got a shock and sort of scooted in the other direction. It was humongous! Very large and well, black and white. Then the vultures were all perched on the tree, and I think there wasn't anything between them and the tram, no glass, no barriers or nets, nothing. Then on the night safari tram, because you're trying so hard to spot animals, you mistake things like boulders (hippopotamus in the pond) or reflections of people for animals (at the leopard cat enclosure) and stuff.

After the tram ride, we went on the Fishing Cat trail to visit the mousedeer (Although plural of mouse is mice, there is no such thing as micedeer says alice), and they were sooooo cute! They were a reddish brown shade, and very small, they had skinny legs and walked in a sort of awkward manner, and are messy eaters, but nonetheless very adorable. The leopard cats were also very chio... And the flying fox is a bat! (suaku-ness) We couldn't see it at first, then I was commenting to alice that it was probably right above us laughing at the visitors, when we looked up at the net and saw that it really was sort of above us, mocking or not I couldn't tell, but it was quite large. The red panda was quite slacky, it was lying on the branch being sleepy, as was the tiger on the boulder. We walked past the otters too, who were very eager for the public to feed them (it's illegal to feed them by the way) and no one did, but the way they swarmed in a group was very adorable, with their front paws up and squeaking like there was no tomorrow. And the gharial which we passed by looked so prehistoric, and they really really look like logs, especially with the dim lighting, you couldn't really tell which was which, until they surfaced...

But before the tram ride, we watched the Creatures of the Night show, and it just so happened that all the animals had ap that night. The Barn Owl didn't fly properly and landed in a corner of the amphitheatre and on the string, before finally going back to the trainer. The African Wild Cat also refused to jump for the meat, circling it a few times then running to some other corner of the stage, then circling it again and walking away and circling it and walking away, until it finally smacked the meat away from the rod and went to eat it. The otters were also being mischievous. As they were trying to teach people about recycling, so the otter that was depositing metal cans chewed through the cans and refused to let it go, whilst the otter that was supposed to put in the plastic bottles put the bottles in the glass bin instead. And the raccoon was sooooooo adorable! It was so fat, and sort of waddled in and tipped over a bin to nibble stuff inside. The binturong was also quite large, black, very furry and looked extremely huggable.

Finally reached home at about 11pm, and conked out. =) Next entire week I shall be computer-less, so I am non-contactable except through handphone. Will be going for co again next next week perhaps. Hopefully ba. =)
