Wednesday, November 10, 2004Biology, don't need to study. You know why? Study also no use. Ha. Ha. Ha. Questions that came out reaaaaalllllyy tested our concepts. An experiment was conducted and a graph drawn based on the pupil diameter and distance away from a constant light source. The graph states that the further you are from the light source, the smaller your pupil diameter is. Yup. Riiiiigghttt. Then first question was a picture of this plant with everything submerged in water except the leaf floating on the surface of the water, aided by the air spaces in the leaf. Then they ask, what's the difference between that xylem and the xylem of a plant on land. <- From syllabus ma? Nooooooooo.... But never mind, I wrote some lignin rubbish. Another question was with regard to pill popping. One pill, was encased in a partially permeable membrane, and another layer of something which was prone to sticking to mucus (!!!) and an outer casing that was acid resistant. Suggest how the partially permeable membrane ensures that all the drug is dissolved before it reaches the small intestine. DOINK -dies- *all were recalled from memory, feel free to point out anything that's wrong* And Biology MCQ. Which of the following is an example of excretion? A) Adrenaline by the adrenal medulla B) Carbon dioxide by the lungs C) Sweat by the sweat glands D) Faeces from the rectum It was a erm argument between B and C. (I put C) Based on the Lock and Key Hypothesis, which of the following represents the Lock, and which the Key? LOCK KEY A) Lipids Lipase B) Lipase Lipids C) Fatty Acids Lipase D) Lipase Fatty Acids Even our biology teacher confused herself. Then our chemistry + lower sec bio teacher also confused us even further. Which leads me to the conclusion that Syndicate really is a good title, (University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate) because it's all a CONSPIRACY I tell you!!! It's a huge plot. They probably pick one humanities, one science and one language to mess up. Namely History, Biology and something else. They probably flip coins or pick pieces of paper to choose which paper to play around with the students minds with. Then when they mark papers, they read all the ridiculous answers and start laughing. Hardy har har har. Not funny. -sulks- |
