Wednesday, September 15, 2004Warning: Wishing and whining ahead, read at your own risk (of annoyance) Maths was weird, I had two and a half hours, and up till the last minute I was still doing questions, which essentially means that I had absolutely no time to check, and the consequences of not checking are very great... Apparently I missed out one question on probability, but it's at most 2 marks? So I'm hoping for the best, and of course my last graph question was quite utter rubbish, and I confused my stretch and shear! I called the stretch a shear and even found the invariant line, but it looked parallel to me, bleh. But somehow I think I'm correct, because it depends wad, a stretch with x axis as the invariant line will look like a shear with invariant line as y axis right? Dunno lahz, had lots of silly triangles and fisherman with nothing better to do than measure equidistant fishing spots from quadilateral coasts. And of course, who can forget, Mr and Mrs Suzuki and their house for 5 years. What does this tell you? Women are better at saving money, Mr Suzuki would have paid 800 000 plus if he bought an apartment, but if they followed Mrs S's way, they would pay only 100 000... Silly men XP And another question was about Earth being dug up to make an MRT tunnel... The phrasing made it sound like the entire Earth was being dug up to make way for a humongous MRT tunnel, which of course it wasn't. And there were steel girders and the tunnel collapsed in the middle, leaving a quarter of the original tunnel on both sides. No people were hurt in the making of this paper, but I'm guessing a lot will be after the release of the results. And anyway, I'm about one paper away from being halfway through the prelims, and I can't wait for it to be over! So I shall erm look forward to what I will do after prelims/pre o levels: - buy Maroon 5 cd! - play badminton! - watch a movie! (i think) - buy presents! (yx, alice, jh, ps, sab, papa) I have few and simple requests, and then it's back to mugging again, 46 more days to O levels... Less than 2 months, less than 50 days! *trots back to mug chem* |
